Venue

The conference will take place in the snug auditorium at the Centro Cultural de Cascais. The building was originally a convent of Discalced Carmelites, the construction of which was completed in 1641. The 1755 earthquake left it almost completely ruined. Rehabilitation and adaptation to new use began in 1994. Having opened in May 2000, it is nowadays one of the main cultural facilities of Cascais.

The auditorium was formerly the convent church. It has become a multifunctional space, fully equipped to hold conferences, seminars, performances, and recitals.

Location: Avenida Rei Humberto II de Itália, no. 16, 2750-800 Cascais, Portugal. Coordinates: 38.69425, -9.42125

Accommodation

We strongly recommend to book accommodation early. Cascais is a popular tourist destination and hotel rooms fill up very quickly, particularly in the summer season. We advise booking accommodation in the town centre, which is within walkable distance to the conference venue. See the many accommodation offers on booking.com. As an attractive alternative to hotels, check airbnb.com.
